Robust indoor/outdoor mounting accessory for compatible Axis PTZ, panoramic camera and radar installations with RJ45 or IDC connectivity

The AXIS TQ5001-E Wall-and-Pole Mount is a rugged mounting accessory designed for compatible Axis surveillance products.

Part number 02411-001 supports both wall and pole mounting from the same mounting platform. Axis achieves this by allowing the mounting bracket to be reversed for pole installations, where compatible AXIS Steel Straps TX30 are required.

The mount incorporates both RJ45 and IDC connection options, including a built-in Ethernet cable with an IP66-rated RJ45 connector intended to help protect the camera-side network connection from water and dust.

It is intended for indoor and outdoor installations and supports a maximum load of 40 kg (88.2 lb).

Wall and Pole Installation

The TQ5001-E is designed so the same mounting accessory can support more than one installation method.

Wall Mounting

The mount can be attached to a suitable wall or structural surface using the appropriate installation method and fasteners for the building material and load.

Pole Mounting

By reversing the mounting bracket, the TQ5001-E can be configured for pole installation.

For this arrangement, Axis specifies AXIS Steel Straps TX30 as required accessories.

This dual-purpose design can simplify product selection where similar Axis cameras need to be deployed across both wall and pole locations.

RJ45 and IDC Connectivity

The TQ5001-E allows the installer to choose between:

  • RJ45 Ethernet input
  • IDC connection

The output toward the compatible Axis device uses a built-in IP66-rated male RJ45 Ethernet connector.

Axis specifies:

Output: IP66-rated RJ45 Ethernet, male

Input: RJ45 Ethernet, female, or IDC

The alternative connection methods provide flexibility according to the cabling and installation architecture being used.

Built-In IP66 RJ45 Connection

The mount includes a built-in Ethernet cable terminating in an IP66-rated RJ45 connector.

Axis specifically states that this design helps facilitate installation while helping prevent water and dust from entering the camera connection.

Correct cable routing, sealing and installation remain necessary to maintain the intended environmental protection.

Outdoor and Impact-Resistant Construction

The TQ5001-E uses an aluminum enclosure and is designed for indoor and outdoor use.

Axis specifies:

Ingress Protection: IP66

Environmental Enclosure: NEMA 4X

Impact Resistance: IK10

Material: Aluminum

The IK10 rating is particularly relevant where the mounting hardware may be exposed to accidental impact or other physical contact.

Maximum Load

Maximum Supported Load: 40 kg / 88.2 lb

Mount Weight: 1960 g / 4.3 lb

The 40 kg figure is the manufacturer's maximum load specification for the mount itself.

The complete installation still needs to consider:

  • Camera weight
  • Additional accessories
  • Wall or pole strength
  • Fasteners
  • Wind loading
  • Installation orientation
  • Local structural requirements

Operating Conditions

Axis currently specifies:

Operating Temperature: -50°C to 65°C (-58°F to 149°F)

Operating Humidity: 10–100% RH, non-condensing

Storage Temperature: -40°C to 65°C (-40°F to 149°F)

Storage Humidity: 10–100% RH, non-condensing

These are component operating specifications. Suitability for a particular UAE outdoor installation should also consider the complete camera system and mounting environment.

Compatible PTZ Cameras

Axis currently lists compatible PTZ products including models such as:

  • AXIS M5000 PTZ Camera
  • AXIS M5000-G PTZ Camera
  • AXIS M5526-E PTZ Camera
  • AXIS P5654-E Mk II PTZ Camera
  • AXIS P5655-E PTZ Network Camera
  • AXIS P5676-LE PTZ Camera
  • AXIS Q6074 PTZ Network Camera
  • AXIS Q6074-E PTZ Network Camera
  • AXIS Q6075 PTZ Network Camera
  • AXIS Q6075-E PTZ Network Camera
  • AXIS Q6086-E PTZ Camera
  • AXIS Q6088-E PTZ Camera
  • AXIS Q6325-LE PTZ Camera
  • AXIS Q6355-LE PTZ Camera
  • AXIS Q6358-LE PTZ Camera

Compatibility can change as Axis introduces or retires products, so the exact camera model should always be checked before ordering.

Compatible Panoramic Cameras

Axis also lists compatible panoramic-camera products including:

  • AXIS Q6020-E Panoramic Camera
  • AXIS Q6300-E Panoramic Camera

This is relevant to your site because we already have the AXIS Q6020-E product page, so these two pages can be internally linked where appropriate.

Compatible Radar Devices

The current Axis product page also identifies compatibility with:

  • AXIS D2122-VE Radar
  • AXIS D2123-VE Radar

This means the mount should not be described narrowly as only a PTZ camera bracket, even though PTZ mounting is its primary positioning.

Corner Mounting

The TQ5001-E can also be used for corner mounting with an optional accessory.

The exact corner bracket should be checked against the current Axis compatibility list before ordering.

Cable Entry

Axis documentation identifies cable-entry options including:

  • Rear cable entry
  • Side entries for 3/4-inch / M25 conduits

This allows installers to plan cable routing according to the mounting location and conduit arrangement.

Box Contents

Current Axis documentation lists:

  • Wall-mount bracket
  • Installation guide
  • Cable ties
  • RJ45 assembly tool

Exact packaging should still be checked when purchasing a specific regional unit.

Related Accessories

Relevant Axis accessories may include:

  • AXIS Steel Straps TX30 for pole mounting
  • AXIS T91A64 Corner Bracket
  • AXIS T91G61/T91L61 Screw Kit
  • AXIS Bird Control Spike
  • Compatible pendant kits depending on camera
  • AXIS TM5901-E Adapter where applicable

Axis currently lists the AXIS T91G61/T91L61 Screw Kit as an accessory for installing the TQ5001-E on walls and poles. This is why I would not use T91L61 as an alternate model name for the mount itself.

Applications

The AXIS TQ5001-E may be considered for mounting compatible Axis equipment in locations such as:

  • Building exteriors
  • Warehouse surroundings
  • Industrial sites
  • Transportation facilities
  • Parking areas
  • Perimeter surveillance
  • Poles and columns
  • Commercial buildings
  • Infrastructure installations
  • Outdoor PTZ surveillance systems
  • Compatible panoramic-camera installations
  • Compatible radar installations

Suitability depends on the attached product and structural installation requirements.

Purpose of Use

The primary purpose of the TQ5001-E is to provide a robust mounting and cable-connection platform for supported Axis surveillance equipment.

Its wall/pole flexibility allows one mounting product to support different physical installation scenarios, while the integrated network connection helps simplify cable termination around the camera.

Things to Verify Before Ordering

Before ordering AXIS TQ5001-E 02411-001, verify:

  • Exact part number: 02411-001
  • Compatible Axis camera or radar model
  • Wall, pole or corner installation
  • Camera/accessory total weight

  • Pole diameter and strap requirements
  • Need for AXIS Steel Straps TX30
  • RJ45 or IDC installation method
  • Conduit/cable-entry requirements
  • Outdoor environmental conditions
  • Required optional brackets or adapters

For heavy PTZ installations, the supporting structure should also be suitable for the complete installed load.

Who Should Consider the AXIS TQ5001-E?

This mount may be relevant for:

  • Security-system installers
  • Axis PTZ camera deployments
  • Outdoor surveillance projects
  • Pole-mounted surveillance
  • Building perimeter installations
  • Transportation infrastructure
  • Compatible panoramic-camera projects
  • Compatible Axis radar projects

If the camera has a different mechanical mounting interface, another Axis mount may be required.
